Renter survey

My new Renter Survey has launched, seeking feedback from tenants on their experiences with leases and tenancy issues.

It builds on findings from a 2023 Parliamentary inquiry into rental and housing affordability.

During that inquiry, I heard evidence about how some renters and property agents approach lease arrangements, especially lease length and how that impacts on security for renters.

The survey is seeking to better understand : renter experience with tenancy and leases, tenant preferences for lease length and terms, and experiences in ending a lease early.

The result from the survey will help inform my policy advocacy on renting and housing issues.

If you are currently renting from a private landlord in Victoria, our survey will take only minutes to complete - and is available here
