New Carnegie Memorial Pool opens

The new Carnegie Memorial Swimming Pool is a stunning redevelopment for the local community.

Supported with $10 million through the Victorian Government's Community Sports Infrastructure Loans Scheme, in addition to $15 million from the Federal Labor Government, the project was delivered by the City of Glen Eira and includes a 50m pool, a diving pool, spa and wellness centre, as well as a Pilates studio and exercise rooms.

Alongside my colleague Steve Dimopoulos, the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events, it was a pleasure to attend the official opening of the new pool!

A big shout out to Dr Michelle Ananda-Rajah, the Member for Higgins, who was a tireless advocate to get this redevelopment off the starting blocks.

From Brighton to Carnegie, Black Rock to Caulfield, and across the state of Victoria, the State Labor Government has invested more than $2.3 billion in community sport infrastructure, including $24 million in Glen Eira.

Because these are the quality sporting facilities that our communities deserve and will enjoy for many years to come.
